Dr. Penrod has been practicing family centered dentistry since he graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1989.
He enjoys getting to know each of his patients and takes time to explain in detail what treatment would be best for
each individual before proceeding. He has been actively involved in the "Cosmetic Revolution" in dentistry with
many years experience in bleaching, bonding, and porcelain veneers, and is well qualified to help you understand
what might be best for you. Though creating beautiful smiles is his passion, his patients appreciate the fact that
he provides comprehensive dentistry for the entire family--from preventive sealants, tooth colored fillings, crowns, bridges
and even implants when needed.
Dr. Penrod earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in 1985, and his DDS from UCLA in 1989.
He graduated cum laude and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
He has spent hundreds of hours educating himself and his staff on the most current dental techniques
and procedures in order to provide you with the latest, most beautiful, comfortable, longest lasting dentistry available.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry,
Orange County Dental Society and the LDS Academy of Dentists.
Dr. Penrod and his family
Dr. Penrod and his wife Fawn live in Rancho Santa Margarita with their
six children-one boy and five girls. They are actively involved in the local schools-Melinda Heights,
RSM Intermediate and Trabuco Hills High. As a family they enjoy skiing, camping, fishing and traveling.
They are members of the Mission Lake Ward of the LDS Church, where Dr. Penrod has served for
several years as an adult advisor in the Boy Scout/Venturing organization.
Dr. Brown graduated from Marquette University School
of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While at Marquette he enjoyed participating in several outreach programs
that provided dentistry to underserved populations in rural Wisconsin. Upon graduation, he was recognized by the
faculty as an outstanding student for his clinical skills. He completed his undergraduate degree
at Brigham Young University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Sociology. While there he performed and published
dental research at the CRA Foundation in Provo, Utah--a world renowned dental clinical research facility.
Dr. Brown joined Penrod Dental in 2008 when Dr. Boehne left for an endodontic residency. He has a wonderful way of explaining to patients their treatment needs, and
is fully committed to delivering the highest quality care available in a gentle and caring manner. He believes in giving people the most
naturally beautiful smile through the use of modern materials and techniques. He is a an active member of the
American Dental Association, the California Dental Association as well as the Orange County Dental Society.
Dr. Brown was raised in Whittier, CA and now resides with his family in Rancho Santa Margarita. He and his wife
Josie have two boys. As a family they enjoy biking, camping, rock climbing and traveling. They also actively
participate in the Orange County Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) and are enjoying raising their family in
Rancho Santa Margarita.
