Dr. Carey L. Penrod has been practicing family centered dentistry since he graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1989. He enjoys getting to know each of his patients and takes time to explain in detail what treatment would be best for each individual before proceeding. He has been actively involved in the “Cosmetic Revolution” in dentistry with many years experience in bleaching, bonding, and porcelain veneers, and is well qualified to help you understand what might be best for you. Though creating beautiful smiles is his passion, his patients appreciate the fact that he provides comprehensive dentistry for the entire family–from preventive sealants, tooth colored fillings, crowns, bridges and even implants when needed.
Dr. Penrod earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in 1985, and his DDS from UCLA in 1989. He graduated cum laude and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
He has spent hundreds of hours educating himself and his staff on the most current dental techniques and procedures in order to provide you with the latest, most beautiful, comfortable, longest lasting dentistry available. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Orange County Dental Society and the LDS Academy of Dentists.
Dr. Penrod and his wife Fawn live in Trabuco Canyon and enjoy traveling to visit their children and grandchildren who are spread out all over the country. They keep trying to remind their children that they are “Westerners,” and keep encouraging them to move back a little closer to home! They are actively involved in their church and Carey continues to serve as a Boy Scout leader, as well as enjoying a little more time for hobbies–traveling, skiing, fishing (Carey) and researching family history (Fawn).
